Simpson University Launches Four-Year Nursing Program
REDDING, Calif. — As an extension of its service-oriented mission, Simpson University launched a four-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing program in January.
While helping to meet the high demand for nursing education, the program will also equip students to serve in a variety of missions settings. Several students in the first class of 26 say they plan to use their skills in third-world countries.
In March, five nursing students will spend spring break participating in medical missions clinics in Nicaragua and Mexico.
“This new degree program is another effort by Simpson University to serve the region and to further accomplish our institutional mission of world service,” said Dr. Stanley Clark, Simpson’s provost.
